Chevron and Flowers

This week I’m loving on the Oh, Hello stamp set! I’ll be sharing projects through Saturday with this awesome set!

Today I played along with The Paper Players color combo to create a fun and summery card.

ChevronFlower

It started off with a white base, followed by a Pool Party layer that was cut with the Adorning Accents Edgelits die. I splattered some Pool Party reinker onto that layer and then added a tag over top of the layer. The tag was stamped in So Saffron with the arrows from the Oh, Hello stamp set and was then topped off with a strip of Early Espresso.

Finally, I cut the flower pieces in Calypso Coral with the Secret Garden Framelits, stamped those in the same color with the chevron oval from the stamp set and crumpled them up to give them texture. I topped off the flower with a retired brad striped in Early Espresso, but you could easily substitute that with one of the new candy dots and brad builders to achieve a similiar look.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a different approach to using this stamp set!

I love how you stamped the background on this with the chevron stamps...I did not get that set, but each time I see it used, I want it more! Lovely flower, too! Thanks so much for playing with the Paper Players this week!
